Ingredients

Scale

Mushroom Seasoning

  • 16 oz whole button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed
  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean Mushrooms: Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel and pat them dry thoroughly to remove any dirt while ensuring no excess moisture remains.
  2. Season the Mushrooms: In a bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian herbs, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3–5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  4. Arrange Mushrooms: Place the seasoned mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow hot air circulation around each mushroom for crispiness.
  5. Cook Mushrooms: Air fry the mushrooms for 10–12 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove mushrooms from the air fryer, garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while hot and flavorful.

Notes

  • Ensure mushrooms are dry before seasoning to maximize crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more garlic or herbs if preferred.
  • Use fresh parsley as a garnish for a pop of color and freshness.
  • Can be served as a side dish, appetizer, or a healthy snack.
