Scale

Blue Cheese Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups extra light olive oil
  • 1 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Tone’s Rosemary Garlic Seasoning Blend
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh garlic (crushed, 23 cloves)
  • 1/2 teaspoon balsamic glaze
  • 8.5 ounces blue cheese (divided)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the olive oil, white wine vinegar, oregano, garlic powder, Tone’s Rosemary Garlic Seasoning Blend, salt, black pepper, dried parsley, fresh crushed garlic, balsamic glaze, and 4 ounces of crumbled blue cheese into a large glass container.
  2. Blend: Using an immersion blender, blend all the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined and smooth.
  3. Add Remaining Blue Cheese: Stir in the remaining 4.5 ounces of crumbled blue cheese to add texture and enhance the flavor of the vinaigrette. For best results, prepare the dressing the day before serving to allow the flavors to meld, though it can be served immediately as well.
  4. Refrigerate and Serve: Store the dressing in a covered container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for about two weeks. Serve chilled with your favorite salad greens for a flavorful and creamy addition.

Notes

  • For a smoother vinaigrette, you can increase blending time or add less blue cheese initially.
  • Make the vinaigrette a day ahead to allow flavors to fully develop.
  • Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator and use within two weeks for optimal freshness.
  • Adjust salt and sugar to taste depending on your preference.
  • Use fresh garlic cloves for a more vibrant garlic flavor compared to garlic powder alone.
