Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded rotisserie chicken breast
  • 1½ cups cottage cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Frank’s RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

Optional Garnishes

  • Green onions, sliced
  • Blue cheese crumbles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature before baking.
  2. Blend Cottage Cheese: Place the cottage cheese in a food processor or blender and blend until it becomes smooth and creamy, which will create a perfect base for the dip.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the blended cottage cheese with the shredded rotisserie chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, Frank’s RedHot® sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill weed, parsley flakes, and ground black pepper. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute all the flavors.
  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a shallow 1-quart baking dish, spreading it out evenly to prepare for baking.
  5. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the top turns lightly browned, indicating it is ready to serve.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with sliced green onions and blue cheese crumbles. Serve immediately with your choice of dippers such as tortilla chips, celery sticks, or carrot sticks for a delicious appetizer.

Notes

  • You can substitute rotisserie chicken with cooked shredded chicken breast if preferred.
  • For a spicier dip, add more hot sauce according to taste.
  • To make it gluten-free, ensure your hot sauce and chips are certified gluten-free.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
  • Blue cheese crumbles can be omitted or replaced with shredded mozzarella for a milder taste.
