Delicious and easy-to-make Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets featuring flaky crescent roll dough filled with savory ham and melted American cheese, perfect for a quick snack or meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Rolls

  • 3 (8 count) tubes of crescent rolls

Fillings

  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 12 slices ham, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare it for baking the hot pockets to golden perfection.
  2. Roll and divide dough: Unroll each tube of crescent roll dough and divide each into 4 rectangular pieces for a total of 12 rectangles.
  3. Assemble fillings: On 6 of the rectangles, place 2 slices of American cheese and approximately two slices worth of chopped ham evenly spread out.
  4. Seal the pockets: Top each filled rectangle with a remaining crescent dough rectangle and press the edges together using a fork to crimp and seal the pockets well, preventing fillings from leaking during baking.
  5. Bake: Place the prepared hot pockets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the dough turns a lovely golden brown on top.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then serve warm and enjoy your melty ham and cheese pockets!

Notes

  • You can substitute American cheese with cheddar or mozzarella for different flavors.
  • Make sure to crimp the edges well to avoid filling leakage.
  • These hot pockets can be frozen before baking; bake directly from frozen by adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
  • For a crispier crust, brush the tops with beaten egg before baking.
  • Feel free to add mustard or mayonnaise inside for extra flavor.
