Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Noodles and Sauce
4 cups chicken broth
8 ounces egg noodles
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Season the chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to infuse flavor.
Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Simmer the noodles: Using the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Add the egg noodles, ensuring they are fully submerged in the broth.
Cook the noodles: Cover the skillet and cook for 7-8 minutes until the noodles are al dente and most of the broth is absorbed.
Prepare garlic butter: While noodles cook, melt the butter in a separate pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
Combine noodles and sauce: Stir the garlic butter and Parmesan cheese into the cooked noodles, tossing to evenly coat.
Serve: Slice the cooked chicken breasts and arrange them on top of the buttered noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
You can substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a lighter flavor.
Parmesan cheese is optional but adds a nice depth of flavor.
For a low sodium option, use low-sodium chicken broth and adjust salt accordingly.
Fresh parsley adds a fresh and vibrant garnish.
Make sure not to overcook the noodles to keep them al dente.
