Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Lay out the peeled and deveined shrimp and pineapple chunks on a clean cutting board to organize for skewering.
  2. Skewer Assembly: Thread the pineapple and shrimp alternately onto the soaked wooden skewers, ensuring even distribution for balanced cooking.
  3. Make the Marinade: In a large, sturdy zipper plastic bag, combine soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and pepper; seal and gently mix to blend flavors.
  4. Marinate Skewers: Insert the assembled skewers carefully into the marinade bag, avoiding punctures, then massage the bag so the marinade coats the shrimp and pineapple evenly.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the skewers in the marinade for 10 minutes only to avoid the acid breaking down the shrimp texture.
  6. Preheat Grill: Heat your grill to medium heat, suitable for even and controlled cooking of seafood.
